Book of the Moment
I am still working on this book, but the way that Anne Rice makes the novel flow is amazing. I first saw Interview with the Vampire about 6 months ago. Truth be told it was only so that I could watch the delicious Brad Pitt, but the movie captivated me. With the amazing clothing and the way it was told. It seemed real because Louis seemed real. He had fears, hopes, dreams everything that humans have, he simply wasn't human. I detested Lestat and felt that he deserved his fate many times over for the way he teased and made fun of Louis, but then I decided to read the stories. I still detested Lestat in those stories, but I came to see him as someone who was simply lonely. My thoughts became concrete when I began The Vampire Lestat, he never learned anything from the one who made him so why should he be able to teach Louis anything. He was just as lonely, but he had had a long time to cover it up and go about life as if he loved being hated and talked about. All in all I think that this is definetly a book for people who love Vampires and a great novel. I will give my final word when I finish it in about a week.
